this wine, formerly called friends with benefits, was typically a blend of malvasia bianca and albariño - representing the symbiotic relationship between the crocodile and the egyptian plover (the bird that cleans the croc's teeth). alone, they are fine and dandy, but together they become greater than the sum of their parts, articulating a complexity that neither grape could on its own. but this year, the malvasia does stand alone better! so chomp down! jk, but the wine is really delicious.
