Lahu, Getariako Txakolina 2024
From one of the oldest Txakoli estates in the Basque region, founded in 1925 in the Gipuzkoan municipality of Zarautz, on the slopes above the beach. This gives the vineyards the ability of soaking up all the cool breezy, salty sea air all day.
100% Hondarribi Zuri, hand harvested, and fermented in stainless steel tanks, for only a few short months. Bottled unfined, slightly filtered, with low SO2 (~45ppm) and only 11.5% ABV. Classic Basque Txakoli with that slight fizz we all love.
Nose: Bright aromas of green apple, grapefruit, and white peach, complemented by delicate hints of white flowers, sea breeze, and fresh herbs.
Palate: Crisp and light-bodied with subtle effervescence and zesty acidity. Flavors of citrus, green apple, and stone fruits are balanced by minerality and floral notes. A touch of salinity adds to the wine's harmonious profile.
Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus and green apple notes, leaving behind a delicate minerality and floral aftertaste.
