"This cuvée is based upon the 2009 vintage and was released at the end of 2013. The year 2009 started with a very cold winter and then a very wet spring. Fortunately, the summer was dry, and hot to very hot, with the last quarter of the ripening season turning out beautifully. The health of the grapes was superb and their maturity was on the excellent level of 2002, while the acidity levels were considerably lower than 2008, but ample for very good aging. The reserve wine came primarily from 2008 with some from 2007 and the total represents 30% of this cuvée. The grapes came from the Jacquesson parcels in premier and grand cru villages in the Marne and on the Côte des Blancs, and the blend is 43% Chardonnay, 27% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. Dosage at disgorgement was 3.5 g/l." - Winemaker's Notes
